Yam (Taro) and Sesame Rice Recipe

Some Nutritional Facts:  Sesame is very nutritious and moistens the intestines.  Brown Rice and Yam is not only full of vitamins and is high in fiber.  Manuka Honey is a natural anti-septic among things.  This recipe will be excellent for constipated baby

 

 

Ingredients

1/2 cup Brown Rice (White or Fragrant Rice is also OK)

1/2 small Yam

1tbsp sesame

1/2 tbsp Manuka Honey

1/2 soy sauce (optional)

1 cup water

 

Method

1. Cook the rice with the yam by adding the rice, yam and water together in a rice cooker or a pot. Sometimes the type of rice you buy may need more water.  If you are cooking rice with on the electric cooker or gas,  after the water boils,  bring it down to simmer until the rice and yam is cooked. 

2. Mixed the honey, soy sauce, sesame  and the cooked rice and yam together.  This will give a lovely taste and texture.
