Vegetarian Spring Rolls Recipe |

Some Nutritional Facts: Chinese Cabbage are a good source of vitamin C. Again, this is another fun food to introduce vegetables children
Ingredients 6 spring roll wrappers 1 egg, beaten lightly Vegetable oil for deep-frying
Filling 2 green onions, chopped 50g turnip grated 1 onion, chopped 1 clove of garlic minced 1 small carrot grated 1/2 cup of chopped chinese cabbage 1 tbsp hoisin sauce 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves 1 piece of bean curd chopped finely. (For better results, Prefry this by itself to give the crunchy effect) 8g chives chopped (serves more than 2 children)
Method 1. Prepare the filling first. Add some oil into the pan and lightly fry the garlic and onion. Once you can smell the fragrance of the combination add the rest of the ingredients and fry until brownish. 2. Let the filling cool down slightly before you start to make the spring rolls 3 Add 2 teaspoons of filling into the spring roll sheet. 4. Roll it up and brush the edge lightly with egg. Fold in the sides as you roll the spring rolls. 5. Serve the spring rolls with tomato sauce. |
