Cashew and Raisins Rice or Quinoa, Amaranth, Buckwheat or Millet Recipe |

Some Nutritional Facts: Cashew nuts are very nutritious for toddlers. Apart from that they taste very good. Being a nut, cashew is packed with antioxidants as well a magnesium, a mineral required for bone formation. Raisins are what is classified as healthy tit-bits. They are natural and full of vitamins. Try to use Brown Rice as this will add to your toddler's nutrition and fiber. You can substitute Rice with other types of grains such as Quinoa, Amaranth or Millet.
Ingredients 1/2 cup Brown Rice (White or Fragrant Rice is also OK) 1/4 cup of Raw Cashew 1 tbsp sesame oil 1/2 tbsp Manuka Honey 1/4 cup of Raisins 1 cup water
Method 1. Cook the grain with the cashew by adding the rice, cashew and water together in a rice cooker or a pot. Sometimes the type of rice you buy may need more water. If you are cooking rice with on the electric cooker or gas, after the water boils, bring it down to simmer until the rice is cooked. 2. Add the raisins in when the water boils. After the grain is cooked, add honey and sesame oil.
