Beetroot Meatballs Recipe |

Some Nutritional Facts: Once you throw in the correct natural flavoring, you can just about introduce anything into a meatball. In this recipe, I have decided to use beet-root as a base. The nutritional value of beet root is enormous. Beet root is high in phosphorus, folic acid, manganese and fiber. it is another cancer fighting food because it is also high in betacyanin. All round this is a wonderful root with delicious taste.
Ingredients 1 big beetroot juiced. recombine the pulp and half of the juice. 1 onion onion chopped 200g minced meat 1 tbsp Worchester Sauce a dash of oregano 1 tsp of fennel seed a dash of paprika. 1 tsp of cooking oil 2 large egg 2 tbsp of wholemeal flour salt to taste
For sauce 1 tsp olive oil 1 small onion chopped 1 small carrot grated, 1 clove of garlic crushed 1 tin of pureed tomato 1 bay leave 5 chopped tomatoes. a dash of thyme or rosemary the beetroot juice from above.
Method 1. Combine all the ingrediants and mix it well. 2. Using the palm, slowly form the mixture into balls 3. Fry the balls until cook 4. Using a fresh pan, slowly fry the onions until fragrant. Add all the other ingredients and let it simmer for 2 hours. 5. Combine the meatballs into the sauce. 6. Can be eaten with either rice or pasta. |
