Dealing with Frustration - My own demons. I was very frustrated with my children this evening. I was trying to get some work done and my daughters was chanting their mommy mantra while trying to tear each other’s hair out.

So I thought I would write about how to help children thru their frustration. As at that time I was this picture of calm and serene NOT. then I figured I should fix my own issues first. So, how do I deal with them. I remembered that during a chat with some other mothers, here’s a list of what came up. I thought you guys might be interested to know

1. Have a comfort food. Mine would be a thick and creamy cup of coffee. Nothing beats that
2. High Carb Food seems to work with lots of parents. Like chips.
3. Chocolates
4. Junk Food.
5. Cleaning the toilet or scrubing the kitchen
6. Screaming at your spouse (this is highly NOT recommended; though its quite effective)
7. Praying (somehow we very quickly forget this one.
8. Sleeping
9. Listening to music and working out at the gym.
10. Running.
11. Eating

Whatever it may be, you need one. to de-stress. Don’t keep it in. That’s worse than doing all 11 items.
