Kids Doing Chores - It’s all training

Kids doing chores, this comes from training them
I have always admired kids who are able to not only pick up after themselves but able to contribute in doing house hold chores. Here are a few tips on how to get them to perform chores successfully
1. Don’t let perfection be the enemy of good. An advice I picked up from ETWN’s Mother Angelica. It is our perseverence that will do the trick. Don’t expect a four year old to be able to sweep the floor well.
2. Don’t make it as if it’s your chore. House work belongs to everyone who lives in it.
3. Try to “market” chores as fun. Its all your mindset. If you feel like its a drag, they will too
4. Reward them with words of encouragement and little gifts. They’ll get excited too.
5. Chores is not gender bias. Train both your sons and daugthers.
6. Start them young. Even 2 year olds can keep toys and put dirty clothes in the laundry basket.
