My toddler 2 year old - Learning to Speak. This is a time where you wonder where Dan Brown got his inspiration on secret codes from. My daugther speaks in secret codes as well, but it is so much fun trying to figure out what she’s trying to say.
As I mentioned before, she is just like a dry sponge trying to soak up everything she can. However, one of the thing that tickles me most is her speech, or her persistence to perfect it. She will also try to sing and I must say does a pretty good job although sometimes the family has a fun time trying to guess which song she’s trying to sing. Her are some of the things you may want to watch out as she develops her speech
1. Make sure you talk back in proper language, not baby language. That way she’ll pick up faster
2. Her ability to speak does not equal her ability to understand. Don’t punish her for not doing what she says. She may not fully understand yet
3. Continue to sing and talk to her as much as possible. She will need the exposure.
