Kid’s Ballet Clothes - Are they made from gold

Kid’s Ballet Clothes Most people have 2 reactions to them. They are either very cute or you just think how could anyone put their kid through this?
I say this because, one of the reasons why my daughter wants to learn ballet is because of the “beautiful tutu” and that’s the same reason that makes my other daughter cringe just thinking about it. But what I wanted to comment was that even the simplest leotard is so expensive. They are as expensive if not more expensive than adult clothes. Which always brings me to this question. What is the Return On Investment of me sending my kid to ballet lessons? No matter how I calculate it just doesn’t justify the cost. Here are some of my thoughts.

1. Ballet lessons are not like Piano lessons where she can play nice music and the family can enjoy
2. Concerts not only costs a bomb. You have to send them for multiple rehersals. Almost have to camp in the car.
3. Seriously, what are the odds she will make it to Julliard?
4. Have you seen what they do in a typical ballet lesson? They just stand around a pose. Lift your leg to the most uncomfortable position, then start to move your hands around.
5. If my daugther is good… my husband will be very stressed out about guys touching his little girl. You know, when you dance, you need a partner.

Say what I like, there is no way I am going to convince my little girl she is not going to ballet classes…

That’s the beauty of being parents. We don’t have to be logical all the time.
