Siblings Rivalry - The Good - Part 1

We always think we’re the noisiest family on the block. With 3 girls under the age of 6, we have a constant supply of tears 24×7
Of course they just don’t stop at crying, they scratch each other, pull each other’s hair and say mean things to each other. They may not be so bad, the only problem is that I have to play judge and jury, punisher, comforter, disciplinarian, mother all within that 5 minutes. Talk about switching hats.
Most of the time, the root cause of the cat fights are due to sibling rivalry. Do you think they are just bad and wished they didn’t exist? Let me give you my perspective.
Sibling Rivalry can be good when…
1. It is in a controlled environment under the watchful eyes of parents. Home is always a good place to practice NOT BEING A PUSHOVER. There are always lessons to be learnt in every fight. There are techniques even in fighting, for example picking your fights and not fight every fight. Don’t you think it is a privilage?
2. When 2 rough stones rub against each other, they can only become smooth.
3. Learning to submit to each other, share and compromise. If no situation arises, how would they be stretched?
4. If they are fighting means they are talking. It’s part and parcel of communication
