A lot of parents thought that formula feeding is more convenient, especially for working moms. They feel that, after all, they are not there to breastfeed the baby, it is easier and less stressful to feed the baby with formula.
However, apart from all the physical benefits of breastfeeding, there are also emotional benefits of breastfeeding, that, in the long run, will bring less stress to the parents and child if the mother breastfeeds, rather than giving formula. Below are why I think it is less stressful for working moms to breastfeed than to formula feed:
1) It is quite stressful to have to keep on taking leave from work to take care of your baby if he is hospitalized or sick. Breastfed babies generally get sick less.
2) Some babies are a bit insecure when their mothers go to work. Breastfeeding them before and after work provides them with the emotional attachment and security that they need.
3) You generally do not have to deal with the side effects (eg, lactose intolerance, etc) that might be caused by a particular formula milk
