There is no doubt that during breastfeeding, nutrition is one of the most important areas that we have to put as a priority. After all, the baby is drawing on what we eat, from our body. Our body is supplying our baby’s food, it is therefore demanding on our bodies. However, it is a misconception that we need a lot of time to eat healthily.
It doesn’t take a lot of time to watch what we eat, and to choose to eat a healthy and nutritious diet. Eating rolled oats in the morning, doesn’t take more time than eating bacon and sausage. It doesn’t take more time to prepare a healthy meal. Preparing a bowl of salad doesn’t take more time than prepareing potato chips. Therefore, even if we are a full time working mom, there is no reason for us to not be able to provide enough nutrients to our body to supply both our baby and us. After all, healthy eating needs to be our lifestyle, whether we breastfeed or not.
