We have had various sleeping arrangements with our children. We went through all the permutations, and are constantly making different sleeping arrangements. For our first child, we started off by having her sleep in the crib in our room. When she wanted to nurse, I would get up, pick her up, sit up and nurse her, then put her back to sleep again. However, by the time she was 8 months old, she was waking up so often at night that I had to put her in my bed and let her nurse as often as she wants.
