I shall describe my potty training methods. When my first child was about 6 months old, I started to potty train her a few times a day consistently, such as the moment she wakes up from her sleep or nap, before she goes to sleep, etc. Because I was working, I couldn’t do it during the day while I worked, so I just made sure I potty train her while I was around. The baby sitter found it too tiring to potty train her. Because this child is more particular, and does not like to wear diaper, it was quite easy to train her. I was quite successful even though I only let her sit in the potty in the morning, at night and during weekends. However, I was quite persistent when I was around. I would try my best to make her sit in the potty even though there were times she doesn’t really want to. When she was about 10 months, she didn’t pass stools in the diaper anymore.
I then started to let her use the toilet bowl seat instead, and was consistently making her sit on it as often as I can. By the time she was 14 months, she told her baby sitter that she doesn’t want to use the diaper anymore, and was completely toilet trained, except for when she sleeps.
