Potty training advice

I shall provide some potty training advice based on our success with my first born child. By 18 month old, my baby could have a nap without wearing a diaper, and without having any accidents. We made sure that she went to the toilet before she has a nap, and take her to the toilet right after she wakes up.After that, we were trying to toilet train her at night as well. We found out that she tends to wake up at night when she has the urge to pee. So, the urge to go to the toilet was interrupting her sleep. We also found that if she has less liquid right before she sleep, she would not pee while she sleeps. So we managed to convince her to not have a bottle of milk right before she sleeps. We told her that she is big already, and could sleep without a bottle. Also, because she dislike wearing the diaper to sleep, it was not difficult to convince her. Every time she manage to not pee in her diaper the whole night, we rewarded her and made her feel very proud. In this way, we managed to completely toilet train her before she turned 2.

It was so liberating not to have to wear diaper for her. Not only she felt good about it, we felt good too.
