Methods to train your child to eat vegetables

I suppose one of the bigger challenges of parents is to get their children to eat vegetables. My siblings and I never had problems eating vegetables since we were young, and I was determined to train my children to eat vegetables since young. I think vegetables is one of the most important foods in our food chain, and without them, we can never be healthy. If my children are healthy, they will be happy children, and we will be happy parents.

All my children have no problems eating vegetables so far, and we have used the following methods to train them to eat vegetables:

1)First and foremost, set a good example yourself. I love vegetables, and I have no problems eating them. We only eat very little meat, so they basically don’t have a lot of choice, since there are very few meat dishes on the meal table!

2)Start them young. If they are used to eating vegetables since young, they will have no problems with the taste. The first solid I introduce my babies with was spinach.

3)Tell them the benefits of eating vegetables.

4)Get them to start on the vegetables first, before they move on to other foods that they prefer. So the food that they prefer will become a motivation for them.
