So once I started to sleep next to my child, I was fully aware of when and how often my child sucked her thumb. I realized that because my child was a very light sleeper, every slightest sound would wake her up, and she would suck her thumb to go back to sleep.

Before my child turned one, her thumb was in her mouth all the time. Every photo that we took had her thumb in her mouth. She wouldn’t even remove her thumb just for that few minutes when we wanted to take a photo.

When my 2nd child was born, we thought that if we let her sleep alone in her own room, we would get more rest. That was a big mistake.

Many parents were amazed that my children would eat vegetables and a proper meal. They would complain that their children refuse to eat vegetables and their main meal. After talking to quite a number of them, I found that these are common problems that caused their meal times to be unpleasant:

Even with all the methods that I mentioned in my last post, the children may still be a bit reluctant to eat the vegetables. So we came up with this story:

I suppose one of the bigger challenges of parents is to get their children to eat vegetables. My siblings and I never had problems eating vegetables since we were young, and I was determined to train my children to eat vegetables since young.

One of the things that I am very strict about is that my children are not allowed to be picky about their food. I drum into them that it is important to eat healthily, because ‘you are what you eat’.
